With over 30 years experience in construction RSG Structures provide a fully bespoke package to our clients. We offer a tailored approach including supply only, design, groundworks, cast in-situ through to full construction projects. RSG Structures have the knowledge and expertise to deliver large or small projects on programme and on budget. We are able to utilise a network of suppliers in the precast and prestressed concrete industries to source the highest quality products to meet the clients design, programme and budget requirements. RSG have the adaptability and experience to provide the construction method that best suits the project.

Benefits of using RSG:
30 years experience in all aspects of design and construction.
Extensive knowledge of using prestressed and precast products.
Flexibility: Supply only, design service, supply and install, groundworks and civil projects, cast in-situ projects, working as main contractor on full construction projects or as your specialist sub contractor.
Committed to high standards of health and safety. We consider it paramount to ensure the safety and to maintain the welfare of those working for us and those affected by our activities.

Precast Concrete:
RSG Structures have vast experience of using Precast Concrete Units for constructing large and small projects alike. Using Precast Concrete gives our clients many advantages over more “traditional” methods. Some of these are:
Uniformity of finish and size as all the Precast Concrete Units moulds can be utilised many times.
Control over the quality of the Precast Concrete unit.
Precast Concrete has smoother finishes meaning rendering or plastering is not required.
Less storage space is required on site as the Precast Concrete Units can be delivered as required.
The Precast Concrete units can be cast under all weather conditions as factory produced, leading to less time wasted on site for inclement weather conditions.
Precast Concrete Units have a faster erection time than pouring in-situ.
There are many different Precast Concrete Units available for different applications. These include L units, Alpha Blocs, Arrow Walls, Shutta Blocs and Precast Concrete Columns, Beams and Blocks.
If bespoke units are required for particular projects then bespoke Precast Concrete Units can be produced to satisfy our client’s requirements.

Prestressed Concrete:
RSG Structures utilise both pre tensioned and post tensioned concrete techniques for the Prestressed Concrete members supplied.
Pre-tensioned concrete is formed by pouring concrete around tendons that are pre tensioned on long beds. The concrete cures and bonds to the strands, forming a Prestressed Concrete Unit.
Post tensioned concrete uses a Precast Concrete Member with tendons passed through it which are then tensioned turning the unit into a Prestressed Concrete Unit. Concretes strongest state is when it is in compression. Prestressed Concrete when properly done is stronger and more durable than normally reinforced concrete. The strength of concrete is determined by its water cement ratio. Because of its method of manufacture, Prestressed Concrete has a lower water cement ratio than traditionally reinforced concrete often leading to strengths of 70N and higher. The use of Prestressed Concrete leads to minimal construction costs and time. The Prestressed Concrete members are thinner and lighter than their traditionally reinforced counterparts thus giving savings on space and time on site. Prestressed Concrete Panels can be used horizontally, vertically and flat as flooring. They are tongue and groove jointed allowing load share between units.

Fabric Building:
RSG Structures are proud to offer a range of fabric buildings. RSG purchase their buildings from world leaders in tensioned fabric membrane buildings. An RSG fabric building out performs a steel building on all levels of customer satisfaction. An RSG Fabric Building is cooler due to the non conductive properties of the membrane which provides a barrier between the heat and the rays of the sun outside the building and the air inside the building. The bright white underside of the membrane remains cool to the touch and the UV inhibitors reflect the damaging rays of the sun extending the life of the building cover. An RSG Fabric Building is brighter as the fabric is translucent and allows a tremendous amount of natural sunlight in, providing pleasant and evenly lit, shadow free interior without the need for lots of artificial lighting. An RSG Fabric Building is more corrosion resistant with the cover not containing any metal components allowing much better exposure to water, air and salt environments. The steel framework is constructed using galvanised steel which has a superior coating process. An RSG Fabric Building has more air volume with its high ceiling giving better ventilation for manufacturing and livestock buildings alike. An RSG Fabric Building is resistant to leaks as the cover is neither water nor air permeable. There are no penetrations through the cover to allow leaks and drips. The cover is formed from panels which are double overlapped and sealed. An RSG Fabric Building has lower maintenance and operational costs. Ongoing costs such as lighting are reduced or non-existant depending on the use of the building. Building designs can incorporate options to manage the ventilation naturally and more efficiently with less need for forced airflow ventilation systems. The membrane covers are virtually maintenance free and do not trap dust and dirt, nor do they require painting and re-cladding to maintain a clean appearance. If interior light is required for night-time use, because of the bright white underside of the cover, fewer lights are needed and the light is more evenly distributed.
